When One Vanderbilt, the second-tallest office tower in New York City, unlocked its doors in East Midtown Manhattan in September 2020, it was during a stage of the pandemic when many employees were working from home as questions persisted about when they would return to the office.

Plasma Air Delivers Clean Air to the New TWA Hotel at John F. Kennedy International Airport

Most would agree that hotel guests do not want to wake up to the smell of jet fuel and car exhaust. While indoor air quality may not have been a concern when the iconic TWA Flight Center opened in 1962 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (then called Idlewild Airport), nearly 60 years later it is. When the landmark building reopened as the TWA Hotel this past spring, it became JFK’s first on-airport hotel. Located directly across from JetBlue’s Terminal 5, the TWA Hotel is accessible via car, AirTrain, or directly from the arrivals level of the terminal.
